What To Send Us
What To Send Us (Immobiliser Data Recovery)
To recover a lost PIN code and program new smart keys, we need access to the immobiliser security data from your scooter or motorcycle. The exact location of this data varies depending on the make and model, so if you’re unsure where it is on your bike, simply contact Smart Fobs and we’ll guide you.
The Required Component
On most keyless motorcycles and scooters, the immobiliser data is stored in one of the following:
- Smart Control Unit (SCU) – commonly used on smart key models
- Main ECU (Engine Control Unit) – on some bikes the immobiliser data is integrated here
This controller contains the encrypted security information needed to recover the original PIN code when all keys are lost.
Why We Need This Unit
When all smart keys are lost, the bike cannot enter standard programming mode.
By reading the immobiliser data directly from the SCU or ECU, we can:
- Digitally recover the original lost PIN code
- Re-enable key programming capability
- Create and program a brand-new smart key fob for your motorcycle or scooter
This process avoids unnecessary replacement of expensive control units and allows your original system to be restored and reused.
Not Sure Where Your SCU or ECU Is Located?
Immobiliser modules are fitted in different locations depending on the model (under seat, behind front fairing, near battery, etc.). If you’re unsure, just send us your bike’s make, model and year and we’ll advise exactly which unit to remove and send. or check our page Here
